Carbon fiber wallets built from genuine Carbitex OmniFlex flexible carbon fiber, Australian kangaroo leather (K-Leather) and Ti-6Al-4V titanium hardware. Slim, RFID-protected bifolds and cardholders in two series: Strike for full carry, Flex for the front pocket. Designed and built in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, with a 5-year guarantee.

Flexible carbon fiber wallets, built in Bulgaria

Every wallet in the GT Rebel series is built from Carbitex Omniflex (CX6) flexible carbon fiber, K-Leather (kangaroo leather, ethically sourced in Australia) and Ti-6Al-4V Grade 5 titanium hardware with DLC coating. RFID Data Armor shielding is integrated into every model, with Dyneema laser-cut ripstop lining on both sides of the bill pocket. The result is a slim wallet that bends like leather, springs back without cracking, and keeps its profile permanently.

Why choose flexible carbon over a rigid case?

Most carbon fiber wallets are either rigid plates or a printed carbon look over plastic. A rigid wallet protects cards but never moulds to your pocket, and a printed one gives you the appearance of carbon with none of the performance. A flexible one does both jobs at once. It holds structure under a full load of cards, so it resists the stretch and swell that turn a leather bifold into a brick within a year, yet it bends with your body and disappears in a front or back pocket, as a minimalist wallet should, without giving up bills or capacity. Every model carries RFID Data Armor, so your contactless cards stay unreadable without a separate sleeve. If you are coming from a rigid metal wallet, our guide to Ridge wallet alternatives compares the options honestly, ours included.

Two carry architectures

  • Strike Series is the full-size horizontal bifold for back pocket or jacket carry. Four configurations: Core, Lite, Pro, Elite. 55 to 74 g.
  • Flex Series is the compact vertical bifold for front-pocket carry. Three configurations: Air, One, Ultra. 42 to 58 g.

Both series maintain their profile permanently, with no stretch or deformation over time. Every design is tested through 10,000+ flex cycles with zero profile change, and backed by our 5-year guarantee. Carbon fiber wallet FAQ

Is the carbon fiber real?

Yes. Every COLDFIRE wallet uses genuine Carbitex OmniFlex (CX6) flexible carbon fiber, the same class of material used in high-performance sports equipment and performance footwear. It is not a carbon print or a vinyl wrap.

Are these wallets RFID-protected?

Yes. RFID Data Armor, a 0.08 mm conductive layer laminated into the card compartments, blocks the 13.56 MHz band used by contactless payment cards and NFC, with no removable insert and no separate sleeve. Whether you need it at all, and what it does and does not protect against, is answered honestly in Do You Need an RFID Wallet?

Will a slim wallet still hold bills?

Yes. The Strike series and Flex One carry both cards and banknotes. EUR notes fit full size and USD notes fold once, while the wallet stays slim when loaded.

How durable is carbon fiber in daily carry?

Very. The CX6 layer is tested through 10,000+ flex cycles without cracking or losing shape, the Grade 5 titanium hardware is DLC-coated against scratches and corrosion, and the Dyneema lining protects the interior at its highest-friction points. That is why every model carries a 5-year guarantee covering stretching, swelling and loss of shape under normal use.

Carbon fiber vs aluminum: what is the difference?

Aluminum wallets are rigid cases built around a mechanism, a fan-out lever or a pop-up trigger, which is also their weak point: moving parts wear out. COLDFIRE uses flexible carbon fiber as a structural textile over K-Leather instead. There is no mechanism to fail, the wallet keeps the hand-feel of real leather, and it bends with your pocket instead of pressing against it. The full comparison, including Secrid, Ekster and The Ridge, is in Best Ridge Wallet Alternatives.

How thin can a carbon wallet be?

The Strike bifolds close at 6 mm, the Flex One at 5.5 mm, and the Scout One sleeve at 5 mm and 25 g. More importantly, they stay that thin: because neither the carbon layer nor K-Leather stretches, the loaded profile does not creep over time the way leather does.

Is carbon fiber good for wallets?

Yes, with one condition: it has to be the right kind. Rigid carbon plates give you a hard case and nothing else. Flexible carbon fiber textile, which is what Carbitex OmniFlex is, gives you the structure of carbon with the behaviour of leather: it bends with your pocket, springs back, and does not stretch under a full load of cards. That is why a well made carbon fiber wallet stays as slim in year three as on day one, where a leather bifold has usually swollen.

What is the downside of carbon fiber?

Two things, and both are avoidable. Rigid carbon plates can chip or crack at the edges under a hard point impact, and they never mould to your body. And a lot of what is sold as "carbon fiber" is a printed vinyl or a thin veneer over plastic, which looks right for a month and then peels. A flexible carbon textile does not have the cracking problem, and buying genuine Carbitex removes the second. The only real trade-off left is price: real carbon fiber costs more than split leather or stamped aluminum.

Is the carbon fiber Ridge wallet worth it?

If you want a rigid two-plate case for cards only and you like the elastic band and money clip, Ridge makes a good one, and the carbon version is lighter than their metal plates. Where it falls short is the same place every rigid wallet does: the elastic is a wear item, bills live outside under a clip, and the plates press against your leg instead of bending with it. If you want carbon fiber strength with a wallet that still folds, holds cash inside and feels like leather in the hand, that is the gap COLDFIRE builds for. Our honest side by side is in Best Ridge Wallet Alternatives.

What kind of wallet do people with money actually carry?

Usually a slim, quiet one. The pattern we see from our own customers, many of them engineers, pilots and founders, is a thin bifold or cardholder in a durable material, two to six cards, no visible logo. The wallet is chosen for how long it lasts and how it disappears in a pocket, not for the name on it. That brief is exactly what the Strike and Flex series are built to.
